DSLR Video Essentials

This workshop is designed for photographers who are making the transition into digital video. We will address camera, hardware and software issues. Most importantly, we will explore how to think, plan and shoot likes a filmmaker. We will cover the essential selections of cameras, lenses, external monitors, follow focus units, fluid heads, support rigs, memory cards and hard drives. The similarities and differences of shooting still photographs and videos will be looked at as we examine resolution, file formats and file types. The business aspects of filmmaking will also be taught, including filmmaking terms, shooting techniques and the responsibilities of crew members.
