This workshop is designed for photographers who are making the transition into digital cinema. We will cover the essential selections of cameras, lenses, external monitors, follow focus units, fluid heads, support rigs, memory cards and hard drives. We will also discuss audio and constant lighting solutions. The similarities and differences of shooting still photographs and videos will be looked at as we explore resolution, file formats and file types. The business aspects of filmmaking will also be taught including filmmaking terms, shooting techniques and responsibilities of crewmembers.

Prerequisite: SWC-1012, Macintosh Basics, or equivalent.
